Dr. Ryan Matejek

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Ryan Matejek is the tuba instructor at Arkansas Tech University, where he teaches applied tuba, low brass methods, and general music classes. He also directs the BassTech Tuba-Euphonium ensemble. Since moving back to Arkansas he has maintained an active performance schedule, including performances with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Arkansas Philharmonic, the Arkansas Musicworks Brass Band, and the Natural State Brass Band. He has also worked with various local school band programs, teaching low brass master classes and private lessons. Dr. Matejek holds a DMA from Arizona State University, an MM and a Graduate Certificate in Music Entrepreneurship from the University of Missouri, and a BME from Arkansas Tech University. His primary teachers are Dr. Deanna Swoboda and Dr. Angelo Manzo.
