The Best Ways To Visit ATU
We're glad you want to visit - there's no better way to get a feel for our campus.
We offer several ways for you to experience Arkansas Tech University while you are
making your decision about what college to attend. You have the option to visit us
in person or virtually - take a look below to find the options that work best for
you.
1. Take a Personal Tour
Do you want a more individual approach to seeing our campus? You may either take a standard tour or a private tour. If you schedule a standard tour, you may bring up to three guests. You and your guests will join a tour group (typically 20 people). If you schedule a private tour, you may bring up to seven guests.
You will take a walking tour of campus and learn more about the university from one of our Golden Guides. Private golf cart tours can be provided if your party has an accessibility need or a request is made in advance.
What You'll See
On our campus tour, you will learn about academic programs, campus resources, student organizations and other ways to be involved from an ATU Golden Guide, who is also a current ATU student. In addition, you'll go inside the M Street Residence Hall and see a furnished room.
Note: If you'd like to see a specific residence hall other than M Street, please register for a Residence Hall Tour.
Schedule Your Tour
- Campus tours are offered Monday - Friday at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM for up to 5 prospective students
and their guests.
- Spanish tour are offered 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 12:30 PM.
- Private campus tours are offered Monday - Friday at 3:00 PM for one prospective student and their guests.
- Group tours for schools or organizations may be scheduled by contacting visit@atu.edu or (479) 968-0343. Be prepared to share your requested tour date, time, number of students/participants, age group(s) of participants, number of chaperones, special accommodations, and your contact information.
- First Friday Transfer Tours are reserved for transfer students - those who started college at another institution.
You will get to meet current students who transferred to ATU, hear from different
academic colleges, and get personalized guidance on your transfer admission process.
Specific dates will have academic guest speakers, but all dates are open to all majors.
- September 2 - Emergency Management
- October 14 - Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science
- November 4 - Transfer Visit Day
- December 2 - Cybersecurity, Computer Science, and Information Technology

Preparing for your tour
Where do I go to check in for my tour?
You must check in at the Admissions Office front desk, located on the 1st floor of the RCB Brown Student Services Building.
Visitor Parking is available on West O Street by the RCB Brown Student Services Building (View Campus Map). Note: there is a residence hall on campus also named Brown Hall. Please be sure to enter the correct address in your GPS: 105 West O Street, Russellville, AR 72801. Click here for a visual of the RCB Brown Building and Visitor Parking out front.
Will I need to wear a face mask?
We currently do not have a mask mandate on campus.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand life happens. You may give us a call at (479) 968-0343 or email us at visit@atu.edu to cancel or reschedule your tour.
2. Attend an Upcoming Preview Day Event
Preview Days are events for prospective students to take a tour and attend information sessions. Preview days are group events where students and parents can connect with others, meet with campus offices, and do some activities to get plugged in to our campus culture.
Saturday Showcase
September 17, 2022
Bring your friends and family and join us at Arkansas Tech University for our Saturday Showcase! Prospective students and their guests will get to:
- Speak with faculty representing our academic colleges
- Learn about financial aid and paying for college
- Cheer on the Wonder Boys at ATU's annual Family Day and home football game
Registration is open to high school students 10th-12th grades and transfer students from other colleges.
Time Out for Tech
February 23, 2023
Time Out For Tech, aka TOFT, is one of ATU's favorite prospective student events of the year. This event provides high school seniors a chance to learn more about the academic programs, campus life opportunities, and meet the current students at Arkansas Tech University. Check-in will start at 8:30 AM followed by the opening session beginning at 9:30 AM. This in-person event is reserved for high school seniors graduating in May 2023.

This in-person visit day is reserved for transfer students to visit campus, learn about the academic programs offered, various student resources, and meet current students at Arkansas Tech University.

Are you in Russellville and want to explore our campus on your own or after hours? Take a self-guided tour of our campus. Paper self-guided tours can be picked up at the starting location at the Brown Hall Entrance or you can fill out a short form to download a PDF of the tour to your device.

How do I find my way around when I get there?
Take a look at our interactive campus map to help find your way around when you get here. The Admissions Office is located on the first floor of RCB Brown Student Services Building and is where you will check in for your tour.
Will I get to see inside residence halls/dorms?
Residence hall tours are offered by the Residence Life Office Monday-Friday at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM. The residence halls available for touring are Nutt Hall, Paine Hall, Turner Hall, Tucker Hall, Hughes Hall, Baswell Hall, and Wilson Hall. These tours are separate from the main campus tour and require you to pre-register on the ResLife website. Schedule your dorm tour now!
Can I schedule an appointment with an academic department or other office?
Yes. Please indicate the department you would like to visit when you sign up for a tour or email us at visit@atu.edu.
