The Best Ways To Visit ATU

We're glad you want to visit because there's no better way to get a feel for our campus. We offer several ways for you to experience Arkansas Tech University while you are making your decision about which college to attend. Come visit us during a preview day or schedule a campus tour. Once you get here, you may never want to leave!

Take a Tour

Learn more about the university from one of our Golden Guides on an 60-minute walking tour. Prospective students may bring up to three guests. You and your guests will join a tour group (of up to 20 people). Private golf cart tours can be provided if your party has an accessibility need or a request is made in advance.

We invite you to complete a Group Tour Request form if you are a school, community or organization that would like to visit our campus. 

What You'll See

Your visit will include a 10-minute admissions presentation by a staff member followed by an 60-minute walking tour.  On the campus tour, you will learn about academic programs, campus resources, student organizations and other ways to be involved from a a current ATU student. In addition, you'll go inside one residence hall and see a furnished room.

Note: If you'd like to see more than one residence hall option, please register for a Residence Hall Tour through the Office of Residence Life and Housing.

Preparing for your tour

Where do I check in for my tour?
You must check in at the Admissions Office front desk, located on the 1st floor of the RCB Brown Building.

Where do I park?
 Visitor parking is available on the northside of the RCB Brown Building and the southside of Rothwell Hall in Parking Lot HH. (View Campus Map).
Note: There is a residence hall on campus also named Brown Hall. Please be sure to enter the correct address in your GPS: 105 West O Street, Russellville, AR 72801. 

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

How do I find my way around when I get there?
Take a look at our interactive campus map to get oriented. The Admissions Office is located on the first floor of RCB Brown Building and is where you will check in for your tour.

Will I get to see inside a residence hall?
Our campus tours include a visit to Nutt Residence Hall. Tours of additional residence halls are offered by the Residence Life Office Monday-Friday 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM. The residence halls available for touring are M Street Hall, Paine Hall, Turner Hall, Tucker Hall, Hughes Hall, Baswell Hall, and Wilson Hall. These tours are separate from the main campus tour and require you to pre-register on the Residence Life website. Schedule your residence hall tour now!

Can I schedule an appointment with an academic department or other office?
Yes! Please indicate the department you would like to visit when you sign up for a tour, or email us at

Why am I not seeing tour times listed online for the next day?
We close tours 24 hours before the start time.

How do I become a Golden Guide?
Golden Guides are students trained to lead campus tours. The Admissions Office accepts applications for Golden Guides year-round. You can apply online and/or contact for more information.

Group Tours 

We invite you on a group tour if you are a school, community or oganziation that would like to visit our campus. Please schedule by completing the form below. Be prepared to share your requested tour date, time, number of students/participants, age group(s) of participants, number of chaperones, special accommodations, and your contact information. First Friday Transfer Days

First Friday Transfer Days are reserved for transfer students - those who started college at another institution. You will meet current students who transferred to ATU, hear from different academic colleges, and get personalized guidance on your transfer admission process. Please make plans to join us!

Attend an Upcoming Preview Day Event

Preview Days are group events for prospective families to connect with others, meet with campus offices and get plugged in to our campus culture.

Level Up | June 6, 2024

Level Up registration is currently full! We encourage you to attend a campus tour or plan for one of our next visit day experiences. 

Level Up is a VIP event for rising seniors.

This event provides rising high school seniors a chance to:

  • Be the first to hear about our *new* scholarship levels
  • Hack your way to a better ACT score with FREE hands-on ACT prep
  • Learn more about ATU majors
  • Win a scholarship
  • Interact with ATU professors and students
  • FREE lunch with giveaways
  • Take a campus tour

Check-in will start at 8:30 AM with a greeting from Jerry followed by a welcome at 9:00 AM with a BIG scholarship announcement.

Parents and gurardians are invited to attend sessions and explore the Russellville community.
