Graduation Checklist

Candidates for graduation must complete an application for graduation.

  • Students completing graduation requirements for the fall term will participate in the December commencement ceremony.
  • Students completing graduation requirements for the spring term will participate in the May commencement ceremony.
  • Students completing requirements during the summer term who apply to graduate by March 1 will participate in the May commencement ceremony.
  • Students completing requirements during the summer term who apply to graduate after March 1 will participate in the December commencement ceremony.

The March 1 deadline for summer graduates is the deadline for the production of the spring commencement program. Should you choose to participate in the May commencement ceremony after March 1 your name will not appear in the spring commencement program. 

Note: Diploma and transcript showing degree awarded will not be produced until all graduation requirements are satisfied. 

Check List

  1. Access your Graduation Application from Degree Works. Complete the application.

  2. Check your OneTech email account regularly; this is the method in which the Registrar's Office will contact you if there are any complications concerning your graduation.

  3. Graduation regalia items are acquired through the ATU Bookstore. Attend the Graduation Fair hosted by the bookstore in October for fall graduates and March for spring graduates. Check your OneTech email and campus announcements for more information. 

  4. Pick up your Name Announcement Card in RCB Brown Building 356 during the advertised times.

  5. University Honors students will receive their medallions with their Name Announcement Card.

  6. Academic Honors cords will be distributed along with Name Announcement Card.

  7. Contact Career Services for help writing and posting your resume, as well as for career fair schedules.

  8. Update your mailing address on the OneTech portal.

  9. Check the OneTech portal for any holds that may be on your account.

  10. Check with the Financial Aid Office, and any lending institutions you may have used, concerning any outstanding educational loans and when payments begin. Certain educational loans will require you to complete an exit interview.

  11. Join the Alumni Association.
