Biography
Dr. Couture is the Director of the Masters in Student Affairs Administration program. He has been with the SAA department since 2012 after having worked in various student affairs roles at Colorado State University and Front Range Community College, and in graduate assistant roles at the University of Northern Colorado and Indiana State University. His research interests are centered on academic advising issues, first-generation students, and exploring differences among colleges and college students from varying geographical regions in the U.S. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership, an M.S. in Student Affairs Administration, and a B.A. in Psychology. Dr. Couture’s two children’s busy schedules occupy much of his time, which is usually enjoyable, and he also enjoys traveling and exploring area hiking trails.
