The Choral Ensembles, directed by Professor Gary Morris, consist of the Concert Chorale a select choir of 50 members, the University Choir a non-select choir of 90 members, and the Chamber Choir a select choir of 25 members. The choirs present two major concerts each semester, and many community service concerts. Scholarships are available by audition.
The Instrumental Ensembles consist of the Marching Band, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Symphonic Band under the direction of Dr. Dan Beloniga; and the Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Sean Reed. In addition, there is a Concert Band under the direction of visiting lecturer Ralph Brody. The Arkansas Tech University Music Department boasts one of the top college bands in the southwest. The Band has been chosen to perform at CBDNA Conventions in Norman, Oklahoma; Fayetteville, Arkansas; and Wichita, Kansas. In the fall, students may participate in Chamber ensembles, ranging from duets, quartets, etc. to full orchestral winds. These are directed by various faculty members. The Chamber Winds and Brass Choir present three recitals during the semester. Scholarships are available upon audition.
