Office of Research and Sponsored Programs

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is Arkansas Tech's central pre-award office. ORSP's main responsibilities include: 

Internal Grants External Grants Research Compliance
ORSP facilitates the management of internal grants to support faculty and students engaging in research and scholarship initiatives.   ORSP works with faculty and staff to find funding, plan, develop, and prepare grant proposals for submission. Our office submits the final, internally approved proposal to the funding agency for consideration.   ORSP ensures compliance requirements such as human subject, animal subject, responsible conduct of research, financial conflict of interest, etc. are satisfied.

ORSP reviews award documents and is responsible for officially accepting any awards. The signed contract is then turned over to ATU's Budget Office, who is responsible for post-award administration including account setup; monitoring, reporting, and billing; project reporting; and project close out.
