Shauna Donnell

Shauna began her career at Arkansas Tech University in 1995 as full-time faculty in the Speech, Theatre, and Journalism Department.  After opening the Advising Center in June of 1997, she was promoted to Interim Director of Enrollment Management in 1998 and named Director in June 1999. Shauna and her husband, Mike, have three children: Ryan, Joseph, and Preston. Shauna currently oversees the Office of Admissions and Student Recruitment, Upward Bound Academy and the Academic Advising Center.

Alisa Waniewski

Alisa began working for Arkansas Tech University in 1992.   While at Tech, she has worked in the Office of Admissions, the Registrar's Office and the Financial Aid Office. Alisa also served as President of the Arkansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers in 2000-2001.  Alisa serves on many campus committees; to include, Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee, Scholarship Task Force, University Honors Council, Ambassador for the Working and Giving Together Campaign, and a Bridge to Excellence Mentor.  She and her husband, Scott, have one child, Grey, and live on Mount Nebo in Dardanelle. Alisa is the contact person for all academic and transfer scholarships.

Ryan came to the Admissions Office in March of 2005. In addition to designing recruitment publications, videos, and multi-media projects for the Admissions Office, Ryan owns his own business, F1rst Person Productions creating professional videos, graphic design, audio recording and various promotional materials. Since 2008, Arkansas Tech University has won 3 "Gold", 2 "Silver" and 2 "Bronze" national honors at the Annual Educational Advertising Awards with the publications he has created. Ryan and his wife, Leah, along with their twin girls, Lucy and Lily, reside in Russellville.

Jessica began her career at Arkansas Tech as a student in 1996. She has worked in the capacities of Publicity and Student Recruitment Specialist, Associate Registrar and is now the Coordinator of Concurrent Enrollment. She currently resides in Russellville with her husband, Matt, and their children Braden, Cole, Jordan, Kaleb, and Kade.

Heather earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in management and marketing from Arkansas Tech University. She joined the Office of Admissions staff in 2012. Heather’s responsibilities include coordinating campus tours, Time-Out for Tech and Tech Open House. She and her husband, Sam, live in Russellville with their dog, Buster, and their cat, Sweetie.

Courtney is originally from Rockwall,Texas. She is a 2010 graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a B.A. in Rehabilitation Science and recently completed her M.S. in College Student Personnel. During her time as an undergraduate she was fortunate to work with Upward Bound. These experiences inspired her desire to work with high school students and help them achieve a college degree. Courtney and her husband, Caleb, currently reside in Russellville and are expecting their first child in October.  Courtney is the admissions counselor for Central Arkansas.

Eli is a 2006 graduate of Pittsburg State University, KS, with a B.S. in Communications and Spanish. Prior to joining the Arkansas Tech Admissions Office, Eli served four years as an Admissions Counselor and women's golf coach at Ouachita Baptist University while simultaneously pursing his M.S. in College Student Personnel at Arkansas Tech. Eli is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time on the golf course, but focuses on spending most of his time with his family. Eli and his wife, Andrea, currently live in Russellville and are expecting their first child.  Eli is the admissions counselor for Northwest Arkansas.

Samantha is a 2010 graduate from Arkansas Tech University with a B.S. in Agriculture Business. She is a Danville native and graduated from Danville High School in 2006.  Samantha currently resides in Russellville with her husband, Dustin. Samantha is the admissions counselor for the Arkansas River Valley and Oklahoma.

Areana is a 2014 graduate from Arkansas Tech University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education.  Areana was a graduate of the ATU Upward Bound Math and Science program and continued to support the programs as a summer counselor and tutor during her undergraduate years. Areana currently resides in Russellville.  She is the admissions counselor for Southwest Arkansas and Texas.

Kerri came to the Office of Admissions in July of 2007 after working as a Registrar's Assistant. Kerri processes admission applications and assists prospective students with the admission process. She and her husband, Jeff, reside in Russellville.  They have two adult children: daughter, Casey, and son, Alex.  Kerri enjoys reading and traveling with her family, including their two Corgis, Kip and Peggy.

Shannon loves the River Valley and currently resides in Russellville with her husband, Ernest, and their two children, Gloria and Ethan.

She graduated with her Masters in College Student Personnel at Tech in 2014. Courtney resides in Russellville with her husband, Chad, who serves as the Men's Basketball Coach here at Tech, and their two sons, Owen and Troy.

Jerry 
Official University Ambassador

Jerry the Bulldog serves as campus ambassador at Arkansas Tech University. He was anointed with that title by the Arkansas Tech Student Government Association on Oct. 23, 2013. Jerry returned to campus after 76 years away to represent all Wonder Boys and Golden Suns at campus events and athletics competitions throughout the academic year. The original Jerry was owned by the Young family, which has enjoyed a continuous affiliation with the university since 1917. Now, Jerry is back...and we're pretty excited! Come see us and you just might get to meet him.
