Extended Stay for Current Residents at ATU

Do you need to arrive early before move in day OR stay on campus over winter break OR stay after the spring term is over? We have some housing options for you at affordable rates. Students needing to arrive early before the academic year starts or stay after the halls close must request extended stay. See below for details.

Fall 2024 Early Arrival

Early Arrival Date &Time:

  • Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 8am to 2pm BY APPOINTMENT
  • The early arrival application (including appointment selection) will open on the housing portal on July 09 at 10am and close on July 31 at 8pm.

Early Arrival Charge Exemption: Students must apply for Early Arrival whether charges are waived or not. The following students qualify for a waiver for early arrival charges:

  • Current summer residents
  • Approved groups (campus partners, LLCs) assisting with move-in on August 17
    • Group members must contact group leader (advisor or coach) to make sure their name is on the approved list submitted to Residence Life
  • Residents participating in university functions assisting with move-in on August 17
  • Residents with ADA Early Arrival accommodations
  • International residents
  • Student Staff working for Residence Life in some capacity

Early Arrival Rates: 

  • Residents who do not qualify for a charge exemption for early arrival will be charged the nightly rate up until August 17 which is the official move-in date and the first date of the academic year contract.
  • Charges will be calculated based on number of nights x nightly rate.

Billing: If applicable, students will receive notification via email of the amount of their early arrival charge. This amount will be charged to their account the third week of August

How to Request Early Arrival: The early arrival application will open on the housing portal on July 09 at 10am and close on July 31 at 8PM . Appointments will be required  and must be set through the housing portal starting July 09 at 10am

  1. Log in the housing portal with OneTech credentials
  2. Select Early Arrival from the menu
  3. Complete the early arrival form
  4. Select a check in appointment

Check In Instructions: TechID or Picture ID required. 

Step 1. Before arriving to campus:

    • Obtain Tech ID, if you do not have one. A Tech ID allows access to the hall and use of the meal plan. A temporary card will be issued to students who have no Tech ID yet. The temporary card may give students card access but will not allow the use of a meal plan. Follow instructions to obtain Tech ID:
      • Log in to OneTech (onetech.atu.edu)  with your username and password.
      • Go to the "Banner Self Service" box located on the OneTech home page.
      • Click on the "Student" folder.
      • Go to the link for "Online Student ID Request Form"
      • Follow the prompts to upload your photo

    • Fill out Emergency Contact Form in Roompact. Form will be available starting August 9, 2024 at 8am.
      • Log in with OneTech credentials at www.roompact.com
      • Go to Forms
      • Select Emergency Contact Form

Step 2. Go to Doc Bryan SS Building on August 10 from 8am to 2pm

    • At the time of your appointment, go to Doc Bryan Student Services Building 
    • Enter Doc Bryan through O Street entrance (across Tucker Coliseum)

Step 3. Verify Emergency Contact Form

    • Enter Doc Bryan through O Street entrance (across Tucker Coliseum) 
    • For quick and smooth process, complete the Emergency Contact form BEFORE arriving.
      • Form will be available in Roompact on August 9 at 8am. 
    • If the Emergency Contact form was NOT completed before arrival, proceed to complete it in your phone or one of the computers available in Doc Bryan 180. Then pick up a green pass. 

Step 4. Pick up keys

    • Go to the Residence Life office in Doc Bryan 153  
    • Turn in green pass at the front desk, if applicable 
    • Show Tech ID/Picture ID and QR code 
    • Receive keys 

Step 5. Go to your hall

    • Go to your residence hall 
    • Park in the parking lot 
    • Move in your belongings. You are home! 

Step 6. Complete Room Damage Report Form

    • Go to www.roompact.com 
    • Login with OneTech credentials 
    • Click on Forms 
    • Select Room Damage Report
      • Report any room issues as soon as you move in to have maintenance address them and to avoid incurring damage charges at the end of the year.
    • Complete and submit 

Note:

  • Fall 2024 meal plans start August 17 with lunch. Before that students will be able to purchase meals at the cafeteria.
