ATU supports employees’ professional development pursuits through a variety of means.

ATU Center for Faculty Life and the Office of Human Resources will be co-hosting a half-day professional development opportunity called Tech Talks on Thursday, May 7, 2026. 

Virtual Learning Platforms 

Online Learning Platform through OneTech 

On OneTech, choose the card “My Learning” and follow the link “View My Courses” 

This will open the Vector solutions platform. This platform houses mandatory training but also offers an expanded optional catalog. Libraries include: 

  • Harassment, Discrimination, and Sexual Assault Prevention: courses foster a safe and accepting campus environment 
  • Skills for Building Community: courses teach skills that foster community 
  • Human Resources and Workforce Management: covers topics like FERPA, hiring considerations, conflict management, and employee performance. 
  • Athletics: courses designed to meet the needs of student athletes and athletic staff 
  • Security and Risk Mitigation: designed to help mitigate human error and address personal and physical security aspects of institutional safety 
  • Health and Human Safety: addresses the people-oriented aspects of safety, such as substance misuse and health emergencies 
  • Environmental Health and Facilities Management: training for facility and asset maintenance, including basic facilities skills and hazard communication 
  • Facilities Maintenance: topics like electrical, hydronic, and fire systems, as well as HVAC and plumbing

By default it opens to “My Assignments”. Additional resources can be found under “Extra Training”.

Online Learning through our EAP 

ATU offers all full-time and part-time employees personal and professional development resources through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Webinars, assessments, and courses are offered in personal finance; health and wellness; parenting; personal development; professional development. 

Career Development and Continued Education 

This benefit supports professional growth and lifelong learning by making higher education more accessible and affordable. Employees can pursue degrees, enhance skills, or take individual classes while balancing work responsibilities—all at little to no cost.

Full time employees are eligible to pursue classes at ATU through the Tuition Benefit Policy (also called the Tuition Waiver program). See your handbook for more information.  

Leadership Tech 

Leadership Tech offers a comprehensive professional development opportunity that promotes individual and collective leadership through a cohort model. It is an action based learning and self-discovery process that utilizes a variety of leadership frameworks, experiential learning activities, coaching & mentoring, and personal assessment.
