Welcome To Electrical Engineering
The Department of Electrical Engineering offers four-year degree programs leading to the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCmpE). Both programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET (https://abet.org). In addition, the BSEE program can be completed with a Biomedical option which helps prepare students for entry into careers in the medical field. Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
The computer engineering degree provides the educational background for engineers to pursue a career in the integrated hardware and software design development cycle for a variety of industries.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
The curriculum takes a hands-on approach to research and design while providing creative applications that prepare students for work in the field. The Electrical Engineering department offers three degrees.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering - Biomedical
The biomedical option within the electrical engineering degree program allows graduates to pursue a career in the biomedical engineering discipline or to pursue a graduate degree in biomedical engineering.
Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering
The Electrical Engineering Master’s program provides you a solid foundation in both the theory and application in the emerging field of Electrical Engineering and offers you the breadth of education and depth of training necessary for leadership in the profession.
Students benefit from the hands-on approach to many of the courses and the creative applications for both classes and labs. Faculty encourage undergraduate students to work with them on undergraduate research projects in our exceptional labs.
Our graduates work all across the country while most prefer to stay in Arkansas. Popular fields include the power industry, military contractors, consulting firms, communications, manufacturing, robotics, and many other areas.
