Emergency Planning and Resources

Arkansas Tech University may be exposed to a variety of natural and human caused hazards, such as tornadoes, flooding, winter storms, fires, adversarial threats, and more.

The Arkansas Tech University Office of Emergency Management works with community members throughout campus to improve and sustain readiness for these disruptions.  One element of that effort is a variety of plans; an emergency operations plan to guide the university's response; a continuity plan to help the university recover; and faculty resources.

An emergency operations plan outlines how an organization or community will respond to all-hazards. This does exactly that for Arkansas Tech.  It consists of a base plan, and specific plans on how the institution plans to handle specific activities, such as mass care, evacuation, shelter in place, etc.
