Winter Storm Warning issued March 04 at 3:52AM CST until March 05 at 12:00AM CST by NWS Tulsa ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT... A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT... FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES... * IN OKLAHOMA...PUSHMATAHA...LE FLORE AND LATIMER. IN ARKANSAS... CRAWFORD...SEBASTIAN AND FRANKLIN. HAZARDOUS WEATHER... * RAIN WILL EXPAND ACROSS EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS TONIGHT EARLY THIS MORNING. THE RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO FREEZING RAIN...SLEET...AND FINALLY SNOW LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...AS COLD AIR MOVES INTO THE REGION BEHIND A COLD FRONT. WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL PERSIST INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT BEFORE TAPERING OFF FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST. * AROUND 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATION AND A QUARTER INCH OR LESS OF ICE ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED FROM NOON TODAY TO MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT. HIGHER TERRAIN AREAS SHOULD SEE THE GREATEST ACCUMULATIONS AND IMPACTS FROM THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION...WITH SLIGHTLY HIGHER SNOW AND SLEET TOTALS IN THOSE AREAS. IMPACTS... * TRAVEL WILL BECOME VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
