Start the Transfer Process

APPLY: Submit your FREE transfer admission application! Watch this short video on how to submit your transfer admission application.

You will be notified in writing of the admission decision or if any documents are needed before an admission decision can be made. 
DOCUMENTS: Submit official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities where you have enrolled. 

If you have fewer than 24 college credit hours, then we also need your final official high school transcript and test scores (ACT, SAT or ACCUPLACER). You may need to contact your high school and request they send these to us.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Apply for Transfer Academic Scholarships. The priority deadline for spring is December 1. The priority deadline for fall is April 1. Students may apply after the priority deadline in the event that funds are still available. 

Foundation Scholarships are also available to transfer students. To apply, students must first be admitted to access the application using their OneTech username and password. The deadline for the 2021-2022 academic year is February 15, 2021. However, students may apply after the deadline in the event that funds are still available. 
ONETECH: Activate your OneTech student portal account. Your T-Number (student ID) and OneTech username will be included in your admission letter.
FAFSA: Complete the FAFSA or update your current FAFSA to include Arkansas Tech University. Arkansas Tech's school code to use on the FAFSA is 001089.
  • Newly admitted transfer and returning students with less than 60 earned hours or are undeclared or any student who needs additional guidance in selecting a major should call or visit the Academic Advising Center (479-964-0843, Rothwell 107) to schedule an advising/registration appointment. 
  • Newly admitted transfer and returning students with more than 60 earned hours should contact their respective academic department to schedule an advising/registration appointment. Find your department contact information.
HOUSING: Apply for on-campus housing through the OneTech student portal. 

Arkansas Tech University has a two year live on experience. Students between the ages of 18 and 21, and with fewer than 60 earned credit hours of college work (excluding concurrent hours), who are Russellville campus students are required to live on campus or in their parent or legal guardian’s permanent home within a 30-mile radius. Students who are married, are parents, or have extenuating circumstances can request exemption from this policy.
