Start the Transfer Process

Send ATU your official transcript from all colleges/universities where you’ve been enrolled. You can request your previous school(s) send us your official transcript(s) electronically to or mailed.
If you have fewer than 24 college credit hours, we also need your final official high school transcript and ACT/SAT test scores. You may need to contact your high school and request they send these to us.
Apply for Transfer Scholarships. The deadline for Spring is December 1. The deadline for Fall is April 1.
You will be notified in writing of the decision regarding your transfer admission.
Activate your OneTech student portal account. Your student information and activation instructions will be included in the mailed admission letter.
Complete the FAFSA or update your current FAFSA to include Arkansas Tech University.
Newly admitted transfer and returning students with less than 60 earned hours or are undeclared or any student who needs additional guidance in selecting a major should call or visit the Academic Advising Center (479-964-0850, Rothwell 107) to schedule an advising/registration appointment beginning May 4, 2020, for Summer and Fall 2020 classes. Newly admitted transfer and returning students with a declared major should contact their respective academic department to schedule an advising/registration appointment. Students between the ages of 18 and 21, and with fewer than 60 earned credit hours of college work (excluding high school concurrent); who are Russellville campus students are required to live on campus or in their parent or legal guardian’s permanent home within a 30-mile radius of Arkansas Tech University. Students who live with their parent or legal guardian in their permanent home within a 30-mile radius of Arkansas Tech University will not be automatically exempted, they must complete and submit a Commuter Request Form. Exceptions may be granted by Residence Life.
