The ATU Scholars Symposium is an annual showcase of student research, creative projects, and scholarly work from across disciplines. Students gain valuable experience presenting their work in a professional setting through in-person and online formats, while engaging in meaningful discussion with the ATU academic community. The symposium celebrates student achievement and supports the development of presentation and scholarly skills.

Join us on April 9, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with options to present in person or online. Call for Submissions
Applications for the 2026 ATU Scholars Symposium open on January 12! This is your opportunity to share your research, creative projects, or scholarly work with the ATU community and gain valuable presentation experience.

Submit Your Application!Poster Session
Showcase your research, creative projects, or scholarly work by participating in the in-person poster session! Posters can cover completed research, ongoing projects, proposals for future work, or creative endeavors. During the exhibition, faculty, staff, and fellow students will visit your display and engage with your work. Plan to be with your poster for one hour (time slots will be assigned).
Posters will need to be 48 in wide by 36 in tall. The template for portrait -oriented poster can be found here and the template for landscape research posters can be found here.
Students can have their posters printed for free at ATU Campus Life. To ensure the best print quality, save your file as a PDF and submit it to campuslife@atu.edu; by March 30, 2026. For consistency, please do not alter the header, colors, or overall dimensions. Everything below the yellow line can be customized for your work — add or adjust text boxes, tables, figures, photos, or artwork as needed.
Paper or Creative presentation
Present your research, creative projects, or scholarly work in person! This is a fantastic opportunity to share your ideas with faculty, staff, and fellow students while receiving valuable feedback and engaging in meaningful discussion.
Students should prepare a presentation of no more than 20 minutes. Sessions, including Q&A, should last approximately 30 minutes.
Virtual presentation
Students who are participating remotely, enrolled online, or prefer virtual options can showcase their work by submitting a virtual presentation of no more than 10-minutes recorded. Only the final version of your presentation should be uploaded.

Stay on track to participate in the 2026 ATU Scholars Symposium by keeping these key dates in mind. Submit your symposium application online by March 6, 2026 to allow time for review and confirmation. Applications may be submitted anytime before the deadline.

awards
Students are eligible for awards by submitting their final poster, presentation, or oral recording to the Online Research Commons. This is a great way to gain recognition for your work and highlight your achievements.
Judges
Faculty are invited to serve as judges for the 2026 ATU Scholars Symposium. Your expertise and feedback play a key role in recognizing outstanding student research, creative projects, and scholarly work, while supporting the professional growth of our students.
