At ATU Choirs, singing is at the heart of our musical community, and there is a place for every voice. Whether you are seeking a high-level choral experience or a more relaxed way to make music, ATU Choirs offers an ensemble for you.
The Arkansas Tech University Music Department places music education at the center of its mission while fostering artistic excellence, collaboration, and community in both its instrumental and choral ensembles. We invite you to join our long-standing tradition of meaningful music-making.
Our choirs are made up of dedicated music majors as well as students from a wide range of academic disciplines across campus. No matter your background or major, there is a place for you to sing at ATU.

Non-music majors:
You may register directly for Concert Chorale (MUS 1681 / 3681), our non-auditioned ensemble, or contact the choral director for guidance on ensemble
placement at krohwer@atu.edu.
Choral placement hearings take place in August.

Placement audition information for the 2026–2027 academic year will be posted and shared via email and social media during the summer months.
Students seeking placement in ATU Choral Artists or University Singers:
All students must complete a choral placement hearing at the start of each academic year.

Meet new friends and welcome to ATU.
ATU Choral Artists and University Singers are auditioned ensembles.
Concert Chorale does not require an audition and is open to all students, regardless of major or prior experience.
Choral scholarships are available by audition for students of any major.
Choral scholarship auditions are embedded within the music major audition process.
Incoming non-majors interested in scholarships should sign up for a music-major audition and indicate “scholarship consideration only” by contacting the Director of Choral Activities at krohwer@atu.edu.
Returning students interested in scholarship consideration should contact the Director of Choral Activities.
