Will you be the first in your family to attend college?  Arkansas Tech University is hosting a special summer institute to help you start this exciting journey!

WHAT is the First-Generation Institute?

The First-Generation Institute is a free, two-day program for rising Arkansas high school seniors in the Class of 2022.  Both an in-person option for 30 students and a virtual program will be held.

When/Where is the Institute?

Two programs will be held during 2021.

The in-person First-Generation Institute will be held June 9-10, 2021 at Arkansas Tech. 

The virtual First-Generation Institute will be held virtually on the afternoon of June 16, 2021 and the morning of June 17, 2021.  As this is a virtual experience, all students must have access to a computer or tablet.

WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED?

For the in-person program, housing for the evening of June 9, meals on June 9 & 10, and transportation to and from Arkansas Tech will be provided free of charge.
