Announcment for the NSSE Survey starting March 8
At Arkansas Tech University we want our students to have the best educational experience possible, and the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) helps by providing vital information about activities in and out of the classroom. Your participation is critical, so I hope you will complete NSSE—an opportunity only available to first-year and senior students.

Students eligible to participate will receive an email from NSSE starting March 8 with their unique survey link. The same day, the link will also be available in Blackboard under Organizations. Look for org-NSSE-2023. More information about NSSE is at nsse.indiana.edu.

In appreciation for participating, we will enter all students who complete the survey by April 11, 2023, into a drawing for 1 of 20 Amazon gift cards worth $50 each. Your chances of winning depend on how many complete the survey; the last time we administered this survey about 680 students responded.

Thank you in advance for taking a few moments to reflect on your experiences and help us strengthen Arkansas Tech University!

Sincerely,

Christine Austin
Director

OUR Purpose

To serve as a resource and support for the assessment activities of the Arkansas Tech University community.

Our Mission

University Assessment and Accreditation (UAA) facilitates the collaborative culture of assessment and continuous improvement of Arkansas Tech University’s academic and administrative programs and services. By providing resources and technical expertise to assist in the systematic development, review, and collection of data, UAA guides the university in the reflective practices that lead to evidence-based decision making in annual on-going assessment of student learning as well as in review of programs for individual and institutional accreditation purposes.

What we do

UAA works with all academic and non-academic programs and administrative units in assessment efforts institution-wide. The office consults with institution constituencies on assessment matters through educational workshops and trainings, chairs student learning and academic support assessment committees, and administers the assessment software, WEAVE. The Office also coordinates program reviews, accreditation processes and academies, provides support for program planning and revision; and assists with special projects.
