Health & Information Management Challenge Examination

Students that feel they already have the knowledge that would be acquired from taking courses listed below, and who have approval from their advisor, may take a comprehensive final exam for each course to prove this knowledge.  A score of 75% or higher on any exam is required to receive credit for the corresponding course.

Tests are available for the following course:

AHS 2013       Medical Terminology

HIM 3023       Introduction to Health Information Management

HIM 3033       Basic Coding Principles

HIM 3132       Health Data & Statistics

HIM 3133       Alternative Health Records

COST:

$25.00 per test (cash only)

TESTING SCHEDULE:

NOTE:  Before scheduling a challenge exam, contact Melinda Wilkins at 968-0441 to verify advisor approval.  Students taking challenge exams must wait a minimum of 90 days before scheduling to the same exam again.
