Maintenance Request Process

It is important that residents report problems by submitting a maintenance request, before they become an emergency. Physical Plant will respond to a problem no later than 72 hours after a maintenance request has been received.

  • If a student has a maintenance request or other concerns regarding the physical upkeep of their room (plumbing problem, broken heater, etc.), the student must submit a maintenance request online.
  • In emergency situations, such as exposed wires, overflowing toilets, floods, etc.they can call 968-0376 between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • If a serious maintenance concern arises after 5:00 p.m. or during the weekend, the student should contact their Resident Assistant or Resident Director.

Little problems can be avoided with preventative measures. For example:

  1. Please report your bathtub draining slowly vs. your bathtub has standing water and wont drain at all.
  2. Please report the pipe under the sink dripping vs. the pipe has been leaking for a month and now has a steady stream of water.

 

On-call Personnel:

A member of the Department of Residence Life Staff is on-call at all times. If you have a security, maintenance or other concern:

  • From 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday, please call the Residence Life at 479-968-0376.
  • After 5:00 p.m. and on weekends, you may contact the RA on-call for your building.

 

HOW TO SUBMIT A MAINTENANCE REQUEST:

To submit a maintenance request, follow these steps:

  • Login to the housing portal with OneTech credentials
  • Select Room Maintenance
  • Complete and submit
    • Return later to see the status of your request.
