Tech Youth Wind Ensemble
We are excited to announce that it is once again time for the Tech Youth Wind Ensemble (TYWE)! This exciting honors ensemble experience is for students in grades 9 through 12, and
is designed to quickly navigate great wind band repertoire while having fun with the
strongest young musicians who apply. Whether you are a returning student or are applying
for the first time, we are excited to welcome you!
After three Sunday afternoon rehearsals, the TYWE band will perform a concert at Arkansas Tech
University in the Witherspoon Hall auditorium!
Join us for great music and fun!
APPLICATIONS:
The application deadline for this event is Wednesday, February 11, 2026 so be sure to complete your application
here as soon as possible. Be sure to also complete the appropriate ATU Release Form (age
17 & under or age
18 & older and the
ATU Media Release form.
Once we have received your applications, we will select students for this exclusive
event and notify those who are accepted via email by the end of the day February 12,
2026. Because of this, we ask that you include a personal email address if your school
prevents you from receiving external emails. (Please see the flyer below for additional information about this event.)

Rehearsals:
- *February 15, 2026: Rehearsal: 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
- *February 22, 2026: SWE Concert & Sectional Rehearsals: 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
- *March 1, 2026: Rehearsal: 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
- March 8, 2026: Soundcheck & Concert: 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.
*A light snack will be provided on these days
CONCERT:
The Tech Youth Wind Ensemble concert will be held on the ATU campus Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Witherspoon Auditorium
Students will need to arrive in time for soundcheck, which begins at 12:30 p.m.
