REXANN OLLER INTERNATIONAL STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP

SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND
The Rexann Oller International Studies Scholarship will be awarded each year to a student who shows academic achievement in international affairs and/or strong background and interest in international relations. This academic year the award will be in the amount of $1000 for the Fall 2013 semester, with a renewal scholarship of $1000 for Spring 2014. An alternate recipient for this scholarship will also be selected, in case the original recipient is unable to attend Arkansas Tech University in Fall 2013. Please note that past recipients are eligible to re-apply for this scholarship.

WHO MAY APPLY?
Any Arkansas Tech undergraduate or graduate student may apply for this scholarship. Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average or better. All International undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
1) Applicants must submit three (3), and no more than three, letters of recommendation, one of which must be from an Arkansas Tech faculty member. The other two letters may come from faculty or professional acquaintances in the United States or abroad, and, if necessary, may be faxed to the following number: (479) 880-2039. Please note that relatives of applicants may not write letters of recommendation.

3) Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, whether in secondary school, at Arkansas Tech University, or at a previous university. All previous academic work will be taken into consideration. Please note that the student’s transcripts and academic work already on file with the TECH Registrar’s office should be sufficient for this evaluation.
