RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Hankins’ primary research interest is studying different aspects of the life cycle of stars including their formation as well as the final phases leading up to stellar death. He has conducted research in these areas using data from different NASA facilities like SOFIA and Spitzer and is involved with future programs with the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). He also has interests in developing tools for data analysis using Python.
