Campus Council

Membership: The Campus Council will consist of 15 members, including 11 voting members and 4 non-voting
members, to ensure balanced representation, avoid tie votes, maintain efficiency:

Faculty Representation - Three voting memebrs
Faculty Senate Chair
Faculty Senate Chair-Elect
Facutly Senate member

Staff Representation - Three voting members
Staff Senate Chair
Staff Senate Vice-Chair
Staff Senate Member

Student Representation - Three voting members
SGA President
SGA Vice-President
SGA Member

Administration Representation - Two voting members
One Academic Dean selected from Dean's Council
Dean of Students

Non-voting Members Include:
President
Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
Vice President for Administration and Finance
Vice President for Advancement
Vice President for Student Affairs

Function: The ATU Campus Council shall serve as the central body for shared decision-making among the
governance groups representing faculty, staff, & students at Arkansas Tech University (ATU). Its
primary role is to serve as an advisory body on all matters not reserved to the sole jurisdiction of the
Faculty Senate, Staff Senate, and Student Government Association.

Any recommendations of this body do not supersede existing shared governance decisions (e.g.,
Faculty Senate, Staff Senate, or Student Government Association) but serve to coordinate actions
and policies impacting more than one group and reconcile differences should they occur.
