Information for Online Students

State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA)

As of August 11, 2015, Arkansas Tech University is a participant in the SARA initiative, which authorizes ATU to provide education to students from all SARA member states.  For more information about the SARA initiative and the progress of state and institutional membership, please visit www.nc-sara.org.

COMPLAINT RESOLUTION

Students who wish to address a grievance should first contact the appropriate department, office, or faculty member in writing. Although initial discussion may occur verbally, students are strongly encouraged to submit their concerns in writing to ensure clear documentation. If the matter is not resolved at the initial level, the student may pursue the formal appeal process as outlined in the Complaints Policy section of the  Arkansas Tech University Student Handbook.

If the student completes Arkansas Tech's complaint process and fails to resolve the grievance, a further complaint may be filed with the Arkansas Division of Higher Education (ADHE).

Licensure Restrictions

Students wishing to enroll in our Education Licensure programs who reside out-of-state should contact their state board for licensure requirements. It is the responsibility of the student to confirm the requirements for licensure in his/her state as it applies to the participation in an out-of-state degree program.
