Upcoming Visiting Authors

The Department of English and World Languages sponsors visiting authors, who give public readings from their work and visit Tech classes.

We are excited to announce our Fall 2026 Visiting Author!

Jordan Harper is the Edgar-Award winning author of A VIOLENT MASTERPIECE, THE LAST KING OF CALIFORNIA, EVERYBODY KNOWS, SHE RIDES SHOTGUN and LOVE AND OTHER WOUNDS. Born and educated in Missouri, he now lives in Los Angeles, where he works as a writer and producer for television.

Jordan Harper will be visiting Arkansas Tech on October 5, 2026 to perform a reading from his most recent novel, A Violent Masterpiece,  and a question and answer time in RPL 300AB.
