ELIGIBILITY: Degree seeking undergraduate students at a partner university

MAJORS: All (Recommended for hospitality administration majors)

TERMS: One Semester (extension for one additional academic semester upon the approval of both host and home university)

LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION: English and Japanese

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT: No Japanese proficiency required (one year of Japanese instruction is recommended)

WHY NAGASAKI INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY: NIU is a modern university that strives to provide excellent learning opportunities in the classroom and in the field. Established in 2001, NIU is comprised of the Departments of International Tourism, Social Work, Health & Nutrition and Pharmacy. There are approximately 2,000 students studying undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees. 

Sasebo is a core city located in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. As of 2016, the city has an estimated population of 250,000, in the total area of 165 sq. mile. The city includes a part of Saikai National Park. Located in the southern part of the city is the Dutch-styled theme park Huis Ten Bosch.
