ELIGIBILITY: Degree seeking undergraduate students who have completed at least one year of study. Graduate students may also participate at the discretion of the host institution. Proof of good academic performance and a clean disciplinary record.

MAJORS: All (Recommended for arts, humanity and social science majors)

TERMS: One or Two Semester(s) LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION: English (CGE) and Japanese (CJLC)

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT: CGE - No Japanese proficiency required. CJLC - One year of Japanese instruction

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 1st (Spring Enrollment); February 1st (Fall and Academic Year Enrollment)

WHY DOSHISHA UNIVERSITY: Doshisha University, established in 1875, is one of the oldest universities in Asia. It is located in Kyoto, an internationally celebrated cultural area in Japan, with a lot of historic buildings and traditional events. As of April 2017, Doshisha University has 14 Faculties, 16 Graduate Schools, the Center for Global Education, and the Center for Japanese Language and Culture, and it currently accommodates as many as nearly 29,000 students, including about 2,400 international students from around the globe.
