Jesse Wilson

For The Win Project: Turning Heroes into Heroes

Jesse studied Art at Arkansas Tech University and went on to be the co-founder of the non-profit organization “For The Win Project” based in Los Angeles, CA. Jesse and his crew have worked with celebrity stars including Chris Pratt, Kevin Hart, and Dewayne “The Rock” Johnson, as well as numerous studios and other non-profits including Paramount Pictures, Marvel Studios, Universal Studios Entertainment, and Make-a-Wish America.

Jesse and Megan Pearson, both ATU alums, had a life-changing experience when their baby, Jack, was born 3 months premature. Their scary experience helped ignite a passion to help kids fight childhood diseases and terminal illnesses. To create a new sense of hope, motivation, and self-esteem boost for each child. Real life superheroes fighting the most important fight of all… the fight for their lives.

Adam Bass

Law Enforcement Ranger with the National Parks Service

Adam studied Recreation and Park Administration at Arkansas Tech University. Growing up locally in Yellville, AR, Adam knew early on that he wanted to work in the park service. He is stationed in the Lower Buffalo District, which contains 36 miles of river, 6 river access points, 3 campgrounds, and a 16,956 acre wilderness area. During any given daily shift, Adam will patrol this district on foot, by vehicle, or by boat.

Through the National Park Service, Adam has been deployed for special operations in national parks across the nation, including deployments to Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills region, SD, Bodie Island in Nags Head, NC, Dry Tortugas National Park in Key West, FL, and many other places. But no matter where his job may take him, his home is always with our pride and joy: Arkansas, the Natural State.

Adena White

Director of Communications at Conway Area Chamber of Commerce

Adena double-majored in Speech Communication and Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations at Arkansas Tech University. Through her studies, she learned how to foster her voice to tell her story and the stories of her community and the people who live in it. Her role as director involves writing and editing for print and the Web, social media management, and event and institutional marketing communications.

Adena is a trailblazer. Receiving a standing ovation at her induction, she was elected as the first black president in the 55-year-old history of the Arkansas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She is a first-generation college student and an avid advocate for higher education being accessible and achievable by all.
