Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement

The Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement program prepares students to perform the duties of police and public security officers, including patrol, investigative activities, traffic control, crowd control, crime scene investigation and public relations.

Students begin in an introduction class where they will learn about search and seizure, arresting suspects, court procedures and preventing crime.

They continue into their studies by investigating criminal justice careers, defining crimes, defending against attack, responding to emergencies, controlling traffic, performing patrol and maintaining custody of prisoners.

After completion of courses through an independent study program, students have the opportunity to obtain several FEMA certifications.

Classes offered in both Russellville and Clarksville.
