Marcus Wicker Reads at Tech

Marcus WickerOn November 8, 2018, Marcus Wicker read from his collection Silencer. Wicker won the 2011 National Poetry Series Prize for his collection Maybe the Saddest Thing, a 2014 Pushcart Prize for his poem "Interrupting Aubade Ending in Epiphany," and the 2016 Miller Audio Prize for his poem "Watch Us Elocute." Wicker teaches in the M.F.A. program at the University of Memphis, and previously taught at the University of Southern Illinois.

Wicker visited Tech students in an upper-level poetry workshop and gave an evening reading from Silencer. Videos of his reading is available below:
