Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

The MAT is a graduate school admissions designed to measure the examinee’s ability to recognize relationships between ideas, your fluency in the English language, and your general knowledge of the humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. There is no foreign-language edition of the MAT.  No one is permitted to use a dictionary or any other reference aid when taking the MAT.

The test consists of 120 partial analogies that must be completed within 60 minutes.

The $80 exam fee is paid directly to Arkansas Tech University (ATU). Exam fees paid with debit/credit cards are paid through University Testing in Doc Bryan, Suite 211. Cash payments will be accepted through the Office of Student Accounts in Brown Hall, Suite 241. Personal checks are not accepted.

The test fee covers one official score report that will be provided to you upon completion of the test and up to three official transcripts that will be sent to schools you specify when you take the MAT.

WAIT TIME BETWEEN TESTS:
A student must wait sixty (60) days before retaking the MAT exam.
