EDUCATION IS AN INVESTMENT

We understand that a college education is a huge investment of time and money by students and their families. The faculty and staff of Arkansas Tech University strive to ensure that the student’s path to graduation and success beyond is as smooth and straight as possible.

ATU WORKS HARD TO ENSURE YOUR STUDENT'S SUCCESS

With an 18 to 1 student to instructor ratio, ATU’s faculty has the time and resources to provide personal attention to students. Free tutoring is available for a variety of classes and freshmen can find mentors.

Students can also meet one-on-one with an academic coach, a free program that helps students develop a customized strategy for success. The academic advising center can offer that same personalized experience in planning your student’s class schedule.

WE WANT OUR STUDENTS TO SUCCEED BEYOND THE CLASSROOM TOO

 On Track

The On Track program offers guidance in that most important of skills — networking. And it can pay off big time for students who complete all tracks with an after-graduation trip.

THEIR SUCCESS IS OUR SUCCESS

All of this is why Arkansas Tech University was ranked the No 1 college for upward social mobility in Arkansas and why we have alumni working in 35 different countries around the world. Students are more than just a number at Arkansas Tech University.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE

Safe and secure… it’s what every parent wants for their sons and daughters when they’re away from home. Named by backgroundchecks.org as one of the safest colleges in Arkansas, Arkansas Tech University’s commitment to safety is evident.

With a public safety division on 24-hour campus patrol; an onsite clinic that can provide prescriptions, immunizations, and screenings; and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center minutes away our campus is designed to give you peace of mind. We’re also vigilant with the Care Team, a multidisciplinary proactive campus-threat assessment and behavioral intervention team through which students can alert staff of any concerns on campus.

EDUCATION FOR THE REAL WORLD

At ATU that means learning how to be part of a team, part of a community working together to accomplish great things. The opportunities to learn these skills abound in great diversity at Arkansas Tech University.

WAYS FOR STUDENTS TO GET INVOLVED

Hours of giving back, hours of helping out, real-life, hands-on experience in doing good are the hallmarks of a well-rounded education. With 172 opportunities for students to become involved in clubs on campus and even more within the community, were preparing tomorrow’s leaders for an impactful future in the community and in the world.

VOLUNTEERING

Arkansas Tech University also has a history of engagement within the community with students logging 14,824 service hours in 2017-18, which translated into a financial impact of more than $326,000 on the local community. Those hours placed ATU at No. 2 in the nation among all Division II schools for community service hours donated by students.

ATTENDING ATHLETIC EVENTS

With a proud tradition of excellence in athletics, the Wonder Boys and Golden Suns are always looking for skilled help in adding to their collection of 119 championships and earning another Great American Conference’s All-Sports Trophy to accompany the five won over the last six years.

FINDING AN ARTISTIC OUTLET

Students with an ear for music and talent to match can try out for Arkansas’ “Band of Distinction” or the Arkansas Tech University Choir. Students geared toward performing arts can take a seat in the director’s chair, design wardrobes and sets, or even step into the spotlight for Black Box Theatre.

CONNECTING WITH THEIR FAITH

A central component of community is shared faith, and Arkansas Tech University has a spectrum of ministry organizations on campus to keep students connected to their faith.
