Arkansas Dean's Association

Annual Meeting

Postponed until fall 2022

For the safety of the community and concerns surrounding the global pandemic, the Arkansas Dean's Association has decided to postpone their annual meeting and the 50th year celebration activities until next year as we desire a face-to-face meeting, networking and celebration activities.

The Arkansas Dean's Association annual meeting will be hosted on the Arkansas Tech University campus in person in fall 2022.
The university is observing all guidance and directives from the Arkansas Dept. of Health and the Arkansas Dept. of Higher Education (https://www.atu.edu/pandemicrecovery/).

In addition to the informative and engaging professional development sessions designed for administrators in higher education that are leading from the middle, we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the organization with a reception and speaker Sunday evening.

SUNDAY (6-8pm)
Higher Education and the Shaping of Arkansas
Rex Nelson, Senior Editor and columnist for the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, former president of Arkansas’ Independent Colleges and Universities, and publisher of the popular blog, Rex Nelson’s Southern Fried, reflects on the changing nature of higher education and its influence on the state. His presentation, followed by a brief time of Q&A, serves as the keynote for the conference as we celebrate the 50-plus year history of the Arkansas Deans Association.
