Case Management Services
Case Management Services are available to help students navigate a variety of challenges while at ATU, including those related to mental health, physical health, social adjustment, and other issues. Tailored for each individual student, case management services connect students with various university and community resources to address specific needs to support academic and personal success.
Examples of help might include:
-
Connecting students to on & off-campus resources such as counseling, health care, academic coaching, tutoring, food support, etc.
-
Assistance in finding a long term off-campus mental health provider that is in network with your insurance plan.
-
Educational information on the various types of mental health providers as well as support for students in learning coping skills.
-
Assistance for students returning to campus following extended illness or medical emergencies.
ThrivingCampus
ATU Counseling Services focuses on short-term counseling services for students, so we are happy to assist students with finding a longer term or specialized treatment as needed. To help streamline the process of finding a community mental health provider, we offer an online database of local providers: atu.thrivingcampus.com. ThrivingCampus is a search engine of mental health providers and is a resource offered to the campus community.

Mental Health Apps
What do you do when you can’t afford therapy but are struggling to handle your mental illness alone? You could download an app. In recent years, there’s been an increase of mental health apps available to smartphone users. These reasonably-priced, or most often free, mental health apps offer a wealth of resources that make therapeutic techniques more accessible, portable, and cost-effective. Check out my page highlighting popular apps.
