Position Title Graduate Assistant: Strength and Conditioning Studies Job Responsibilities for all SCS Graduate Assistants * Assist faculty with classes * Assist faculty with research * Assist the office with clerical tasks and general office duties * Work 20 hours per week during the semester Specific Responsibilities depending on Position * Teach physical education activity classes * Teach laboratory classes * Assist in research projects * Assist in the strength and conditioning weight room * Assist in the TechFit recreation facility Skills and Abilities * Effective communication in verbal and written formats * Proficient with Microsoft Office * Capable of learning new technologies * Knowledge (or willingness to learn) of proper lifting technique * Active pursuit of professional development Qualifications * Bachelor�s degree from an accredited college or university * Admission as a Strength and Conditioning Studies student in the Arkansas Tech University Graduate College * Successful completion of a background check * Preferred: Active member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association Compensation * 18 hours of tuition (out of state portion waived) per year * Stipend (based on 20 hours per week) as determined by the Graduate College How to Apply Complete the online GA Application and email a resume and cover letter to gkraft@atu.edu.
