Graduate Ambassador: Lauren Fryer
Lauren graduated with dual Bachelor of Arts in History and Public History from ATU in December 2019. She is currently working towards her Master of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership as well fulfilling requirements for an Arkansas Teaching License. After the completion of her M.Ed. in December 2021, Lauren intends to pursue a certificate in English Language Development so she may better serve her future students.
Lauren has previously worked as a Graduate Assistant for the Center for Leadership and Learning (CLL) and as an ambassador for the College of Education. As an undergraduate, she worked at the Arkansas Tech Museum and served as the president of the campus history honors society.
Lauren currently lives in Springdale, Arkansas with her fiancé and their Australian Shepard fur-baby. She works as a librarian’s assistant for two junior highs in the Springdale School District. When not in class or at work, Lauren can be found reading library books, cooking mostly edible meals, and supervising her fiancé’s DIY home renovations. Her dream job is to teach social studies at the secondary level.
Lauren says ATU was the best university for continuing the journey towards her teaching license. The Center for Leadership and Learning has been instrumental in both Lauren’s personal and professional growth. Caring professors and a sense of comradery with peers is Lauren’s favorite part of her graduate experience thus far.
