Graduate Ambassador: Mohammad Islam
Mohammad is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering degree here in ATU. He is from Bangladesh, a South Asian country and his hometown is in Chittagong, officially Chattogram and known as the Port City of Bangladesh. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Currently, he is working as a Graduate Assistant (GA) in the Mechanical Engineering Department. His research interests are mostly associated with 2D materials, nanotechnology, Computational Fluid Mechanics, etc. and likes to play with machine learning applications. At the present time, he is working on a few projects which are stress-strain analysis using microcontroller and different sensors, Graphene’s impact on Electricity Generation in Microbial Fuel Cells, measurement of thermal conductivity of Nanofluids using machine learning approach.
Outside of his studies, he enjoys outdoor games like soccer, badminton, table tennis, and cricket, reading novels on Bengali and English literature, hiking in his free time, and playing chess. People may find him driving late at night across the cities of Arkansas, which is his stress compensating time.
