The Master of Science in Applied Sociology is designed to provide students with the expertise necessary to be competitive in a challenging job market. Focusing on the development of skills that are in high demand (e.g., assessment, evaluation, and community outreach), our program is designed to link classroom experiences to real world problems in the public and private sectors.

Those completing the program may expect to work in a variety of fields, including public policy, qualitative/quantitative analysis, human resources, gerontology, and criminal justice. Our program is built around many areas of study (e.g., drug use, race relations, social psychology), but focuses much of the course work on the fields of criminal justice and gerontology.
