S.T.E.M. Out-of-state Waiver
Eligible Programs
- Master of Engineering: Electrical or Mechanical
- Master of Science in Emergency Management and Homeland Security
- Master of Science in Information Technology
Student Eligibility & Award Parameters
- A limited number of waivers are available for students in the eligible programs
- A student must receive unconditional admission to the respective graduate program
- Student must maintain 3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average and be in good standing with the university
- The award can be applied to up to 9 hours in the fall and 9 hours in the spring (for a total of 18 hours in an academic year); it does not apply to summer semesters.
- This waiver will be automatically renewed each fall and spring semester until the completion of your degree
Application & Selection process
- Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received
- Domestic students must submit a statement of research interest or abstract outlining current research (no more than 250 words) via email to gradcollege@atu.edu
- International students will submit a statement of research interest or abstract outlining current research (no more than 250 words) via email to imsso@atu.edu
- Selection will be made on a competitive basis
- Recipients will be notified via email before the beginning of their application term
