Mechanical Engineering Research Laboratories
Faculty members in Arkansas Tech University's Department of Mechanical Engineering work in several research areas that reflect the department’s focus and methodologies. Areas of research include: computational sciences, advanced materials and manufacturing, nanotechnology, and energy systems and combustion.
Our philosophy is to push the boundaries of Science and Engineering. Much of the department’s research is multi-disciplinary. Our faculty and students regularly partner with other schools, universities, and industry.
Arkansas Tech's Mechanical Engineering is home to five modern research laboratories:
- Engine Lab
- Multiphysics Modeling and Optimization Lab (M2O)
- Additive Manufacuting Innovative Research Lab (AMIR)
- Nanostructured Materials for Energy and Advanced Applications Lab
