Department of Electrical Engineering

Biomedical Option

It is highly recommended that all freshmen engineering students starting fall 2017 purchase laptop computers. Laptop computer specifications are at: https://www.atu.edu/engineering/specifications.php.

The biomedical option within the electrical engineering degree program allows graduates to pursue a career in the biomedical engineering discipline or to pursue a graduate degree in biomedical engineering.  With 15 course credit hours beyond the 122 required for the degree, graduates are eligible to apply to a post graduate medical degree program. Students will also be able to practice and become licensed as electrical engineers since they graduate from an ABET, Inc. accredited electrical engineering program.
