The Journal of Business Administration Online is a business journal that bridges the gap between business research and practice, evaluating and reporting on new research to help readers identify and understand significant trends in their fields. JBAO publishes articles that address both theoretical and practical issues in the areas of finance, economics, business technology, business education, marketing, management and business law.
The editors of JBAO strive to publish significant and useful articles dealing with the broad interests of the field of business and to achieve an editorial balance among research, technique, theory, and practice. Each issue is published online to grant access to national and international academic communities; as well as to link the Arkansas Tech University School of Business faculty, students, and alumni both on and off-campus.
The editors and the editorial staff of JBAO donate their time and effort out of a commitment to the goal of advancing opportunities to engage in the sharing of knowledge and ideas in business scholarship and practice. It has been our aim to publish two issues per year on a regular schedule. What we have found, however, is that faculty responsibilities often compete with one another; and some journal tasks such as reviewing, editing and technical preparation may be delayed. In addition, this issue marks the debut of a technical re-organization of the journal files and a conversion of all articles to a pdf format. Thus, we apologize to our contributors and readers if the journal is occasionally late in its issuance.
The authors included in this issue continue with the mission of the Journal in providing business-related research and ideas from a variety of cultural perspectives to broaden the knowledge of business school academicians and other professionals. We welcome these authors to JBAO.
