CAAP Results
Prior to the 2007 - 2008 academic year, Arkansas Tech University assessed general education by administering the Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP) to all first semester Juniors. These reports can be used to determine how well Arkansas Tech University students did on each of the content areas of the CAAP exam compared to a national cohort. For each content area the percentage of students in the lower 25%, the middle 50% and the upper 25% are compared. Differences with magnitudes are considered negligible if less than 5%, moderate if between 5% and 10%, and substantial if greater than 10%. Negative differences indicate areas where local students performed poorly compared to the national cohort, whereas positive differences indicate that local students found more success than did the national cohort.
