The Agriculture Department

In the Department of Agriculture and Tourism, we strive to provide rigorous classroom and hands-on learning experiences to prepare you for a future career in the agriculture industry and beyond. While the agriculture industry has a rich history, it continues to grow.

Each year, the agriculture, food, and renewable natural resources sector of the United States economy generates an estimated 54,400 annual openings for individuals with at least a college degree. Currently, nearly 1,000 of these openings go unfilled due to a lack of qualified applicants.

Faculty in the Arkansas Tech Department of Agriculture have the relationships needed to prepare students for success in today's job market. Our faculty members have rich backgrounds in their disciplines from respected universities across the nation, including Kansas State University, Louisiana State University, the University of Missouri, Oklahoma State University and Texas A&M University.

Please take a few moments to contact us and allow us to work with you to see if Arkansas Tech University is the ideal fit for you in your continued growth as a young professional.
