Sigma Delta Pi
 recognizes high-achieving students of Spanish.

In addition to academic excellence, candidates for membership must demonstrate a keen interest in the Spanish language and a desire and commitment to promote the study of Hispanic language, literature and culture.


Requirements for memberships:

Sigma Delta Pi activities:

      monthly meetings
      lower-level-tutoring for Tech students
      lectures by outside academics
      workshops for Hispanic parents and students about the value of higher education, academic
       preparation for college, and financial aid opportunities
      English language instruction for Spanish-speaking students and immigrants
      translation help during parent-teacher conferences in the Russellville School District
      interpretation help at River Valley Clinic in Dardanelle
      participation in Oakland Heights Elementary School's Hispanic Celebration Day
