AMERICAN COLLEGE TEST (ACT) – NATIONAL
The National ACT is a college entrance examination that is required for entrance to colleges and universities in Arkansas and the majority of the central states. The Scholastic Achievement Test, another college entrance exam, is primarily used in the east and west coast states. The ACT is composed of four (4) sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science. The maximum score in each area is a 36. The average score from the four (4) sections is called the composite score; this is the score that colleges and universities look at when considering admission and scholarships. ACT will grade these tests, and the results will be mailed directly to students in four to six weeks.
