Purpose:	The purpose of the CMENC is to afford students opportunity for professional cooperative development while in school with a view to the values to be derived by the students themselves and by the professional organization as a whole; more specifically, to make available to the student teachers all consistent opportunities to assist or participate in music education activities at every level, from sub-state to national, throughout the country; to provide the opportunity to become acquainted with the leaders in the field; and to officer a more practical conception of the music education profession as gained from the student's actually participating in programs, demonstrations, discussions, performing groups, etc., not only in the meetings of the professional organization, but in the on-campus meetings of the local group as well.
Membership Requirements :	Any student enrolled in the ATU Department of Music or registered in the Music Education courses is eligible for membership.
