Dr. Thomas Vaughn is an Assistant Professor in Speech program. Thomas Vaughn received his B.A and M.A in Communication from the University of Arkansas and a Ph.D. in Speech Communication from Indiana University in. He teaches classes in communication, rhetoric, and cultural studies. His published work has appeared in the Quarterly Journal of Speech and he has received a number of awards for his scholarship. One of Professor Vaughn's primary goals in life is to "promote a greater understanding of the symbolic processes that constitute our identity as both persons and as a nation." He joined the faculty of Arkansas Tech University in the fall of 2003. His office is located in 123 of the Energy Building.
