Brigadier General Larry C. Newman

Brigadier General Newman received his commission as a Second Lieutenant from the Arkansas Tech University Reserve Officer Training Corps program. He graduated with a BS in Education. He then attended Ordnance Officer Basic and Advanced Courses. Other educational degrees include a MA degree in Management from Webster University and a MS degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from National Defense University. Military schools attended include Ordnance Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, United States Army Command and General Staff College, and National War College.

Brigadier General Newman assignments include Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Material Officer in the 801st Maintenance Battalion of 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Instructor at Army Command and General Staff College, Commander of the 82nd Forward Support Battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, Joint Logistics Staff Officer of United States Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base, Commander of Division Support Command of 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Assistant Chief of Staff, G-4 (Logistics), XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, Executive Officer to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics in Washington, D.C., and Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4, United States Army Europe and Seventh Army Germany.
