How to Disable IPv6 Using Windows 7

  1. Click on the Network Icon beside the clock

  2. Click 'Open Network and Sharing Center'

  3. Click 'Change Adapter Settings'

  4. Right click on the 'Local Area Connection'

  5. Click 'Properties'

  6. Uncheck the following:
    - Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)
    - Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver
    - Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder

  7. Double click on 'Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).  It should look like this:

  8. Click 'OK' and exit the windows
